Are you looking for a new opportunity to join a team that supports and challenges incredible young people?
We may have just the opportunity for you!
As part of our expansion efforts and new initiatives, we find ourselves in need of some new friendly faces! Our openings are for a Clinical Psychologist, a Youth Worker and for Tutors.
KLU is seeking a passionate Clinical Psychologist to provide evidence based intervention for children, young people and families presenting with a variety of difficulties, typically including giftedness, complex behavioural problems, anxiety and depression, ASD, learning differences and ADHD. The multiplicity of presentations at KLU requires a strong focus on psychological counselling in addition to clinical diagnosis, intervention and ongoing treatment. Experience with narrative therapy is essential and hours are negotiable (ideally 1 – 2 days per week) and flexible.
KLU seeks a Youth Worker to assist in the development and delivery of a range of support services and programs to help 2e young people (and those around them). This includes the development and delivery of the new LINKT program, which provides learning support and social/emotional support for 2e students through a variety of group sessions. The programs run for 6 weeks, each term, Monday-Thursday 3pm – 6pm.
This role would suit university students enrolled in a social work or youth work qualification and may provide opportunity for placement or to gain experience. The role will be working closely with a highly experienced educator to deliver a new program.
Tutors at Kids Like Us support the educational development of 2e students in an after-school-hours classroom environment through assisting students in homework tasks and structured extension activities, utilising materials provided by KLU.
Kids Like Us tutors will generally provide a mix of one-on-one tutoring and tutoring of small groups of up to four students in a range of subject areas, including Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Literacy and Numeracy. Hours are variable, generally in the afternoon, evening and weekend (daytime).
If you’re interested and have an ATAR or equivalent of 90+ or a score of 40 or above in chosen teaching subject, we’d love to hear from you!
